Chinese blue-on-white porcelain jarlet, ex-Hoi An Hoard (late 1400s). 114 grams. 2½" at shoulders, 2¼" tall. Whimsical design of blue-painted birds on outstretched wings with plants between them, flower petals around lip, background a matte white finish, intact, the wreck found and salvaged in the 1990s, with most of the porcelain sold at auction by Butterfields in 2000.
